About Rise Like a Phoenix - A Journey Through Karma, Kundalini & Conscious Awakening
There are moments in life when everything we once believed burns away. Not as punishment - but as initiation.
I write under the name Princess of Swords, a seeker shaped by inquiry, lived experience, and inner transformation. I have known grief, disorientation, and the quiet fear of being lost without an inner compass.
My life shifted through a profound spiritual event - one I now understand as a kundalini awakening. It did not add meaning to my life; it stripped illusions away. Or perhaps, it returned me to something essential.
The Questions Behind This Work:
In the years since, my path has been guided by deep and often uncomfortable questions:
- What is karma, beyond ideas of reward or punishment?
- What happens after death, and what truly continues?
- Why do humans suffer, and how does suffering lead to growth or awakening?
- What are we made of beyond the physical body, identity, and memory?
- Who are we - truly - beneath names, roles, and lifetimes?
These questions form the foundation of this blog.
Influences & Esoteric Foundations
My understanding has been shaped by the works of Osho, Helena Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner, G.I. Gurdjieff, Aleister Crowley, Annie Besant, Alice Bailey, and other contributors to esoteric philosophy, mysticism, and perennial wisdom.
Their teachings offered not belief systems, but maps - frameworks for understanding consciousness, subtle energy, reincarnation, cosmology, and the laws that govern inner transformation.
From Qabalah and the Tree of Life to Tarot symbolism and esoteric astrology, these traditions helped me articulate experiences that once felt ineffable.
